Indoor line tracing drone final test results!
The poject main cocept:
A labtop, which is wirelessly connected to raspberry Pi, activates auto take off, and as soon as takes off, the drone traces the black line by using raspberry pi camera. If the camera does not recognize the black line any more, the landing mode activates.
The raspberry pi acts like a kind of GCS including Mavlink and donekit and a second computer to deal with data from raspberry pi camera.
After finishing a unversity project called 'outdoor line tracing drone', the university team and open maker lab formed the Open Maker Dron team to develop indoor line tracing drone based on pixracer and arducopter.
The inital problem we confronted was that with the dronkit, we wasn't able to use the guided - no gps mode which was the necessary step for indoor line tracing drone.
To use dronkit with guided-no gps mode, S.J.Kim, a member of Open Maker Drone team, made and added an excellent example code for movement in GUIDED_NOGPS mode into github/dronekit/dronekit-python.
With this guided-no gps mode, we were able to auto take off and land, control yaw quite nicely as well as altitude.
This final video wasn't great but we think did some worthwile project! It's a great project! Develop further and share with us, Open Maker Drone community people!
I attached ralated video.
